McDonald’s restaurants will be launching a Grinch Meal on Dec. 2 featuring the dastardly but beloved Dr. Seuss character, according to a news release from the fast food giant.
It will include a Big Mac or a 10-piece order of Chicken McNuggets, plus a new take on McDonald’s signature french fries. They’re called Dill Pickle “Grinch Salt” McShaker Fries.
The promotion, a partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises, will include Grinchly packaging and a pair of socks featuring the Grinch, his hapless dog Max and innocent tyke Cindy Lou Who.

The Grinch has been part of America’s Christmas culture for nearly 70 years. The children’s book by Dr. Seuss, aka La Jolla resident Theodor Seuss Geisel, was published in 1957, followed by the classic animated TV special narrated by Boris Karloff in 1966. Several adaptations followed, including an annual musical at San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre, the 2000 live action Universal Studios film with Jim Carrey and the 2018 feature-length animated film with voice work by Benedict Cumberbatch.
